Altivar ATS130 - The New Generation of Soft Starters

The ATS130 is a two-phase (2 controlled phases) soft starter designed for squirrel-cage three-phase induction motors. It reduces inrush current, prevents water hammer, and ensures smooth starting of pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, and other industrial equipment. This range is the direct successor of the ATS01, offering an extended power range up to 55 kW, a more robust design, and a more compact footprint.

The ATS130 operates on a supply voltage of 200 to 480 volts, with a frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. The rated current ranges from 38 to 105 amperes, covering a motor power of 11 to 55 kW (10 to 75 HP). The device uses an integrated bypass that reduces power losses during steady-state motor operation. The control circuit is powered by 24 V DC, consuming up to 21.6 watts during startup phases and only 3 watts in normal operation.

The enclosure is compact, with a protection rating of IP20, and it can be mounted on a DIN rail or backplate. The ATS130 can be mounted on a DIN rail only up to the 38 A model. Higher-rated models must be mounted on a backplate. The operating temperature ranges from -10 to 40 °C without derating, up to 60 °C with derating, and altitude capability reaches 4000 m with reduced performance.

The device complies with IEC/EN 60947-4-2, UKCA, CCC, RCM, EAC, as well as RoHS and REACH regulations. It is Green Premium™ certified, ensuring environmentally friendly design and a complete Product Environmental Profile (PEP).
